The Orchid Pavilion Gathering, also known as the Lanting Gathering, was a cultural and poetic event during the Jin dynasty of the Six Dynasties era. This event itself has a certain inherent and poetic interest in regard to the development of landscape poetry and philosophical ideas. This print arose as a close study of Falangcai porcelains — their painterly finesse, layered colours, and East–West sensibility. Reimagined through the lens of our Garden City, orchids and foliage unfold with a lighter, Nanyang rhythm. Printed on luminous duchesse, the motif travels beyond dress — becoming a living experience.
