Inspired by Chinese mythology, features pure orchids, lilies, noble phoenix motifs, and graceful butterflies in motion, along with swirling gilded Chinese calligraphy. The Orchid Pavilion Gathering, also known as the Lanting Gathering, was a cultural and poetic event during the Jin dynasty of the Six Dynasties era. This event itself has a certain inherent and poetic interest in regard to the development of landscape poetry and philosophical ideas. This print arose as a close study of Falangcai porcelains — their painterly finesse, layered colours, and East–West sensibility. Reimagined through the lens of our Garden City, orchids and foliage unfold with a lighter, Nanyang rhythm. Printed on luminous duchesse, the motif travels beyond dress — becoming a living experience. The top has a very subtle tonal textured butterfly and floral jacquard weave, set to uplift your look instantly. A darkly romantic fusion of Chinese aesthetics and avant-garde spirit. This coord number features an asymmetric button placket on top with glassy cat-eye buttons, and it’s curved style highlights bodily proportions. Finished with printed box pleated skirt with attached sash tie. The matching box pleated skirt, cut from fluid fabric, skims the figure and moves with rhythmic grace. Layered over it, the cropped vest top with a mandarin collar and asymmetric button placket nods to traditional tailoring, while a subtle inverted V at the hem echoes the exposed skin beneath. The skirt is rounded up with a gilded tapestry trimming at the bottom to close off the festive look. The skirt’s orchid motif and asymmetric layered tonal top recall silhouettes in the night, as black and crimson/pink collide in a striking interplay of classical poise and modern edge. Gorgeous gold threads are intertwined on red/pink to carve butterflies and phoenixes, which vividly portrays Chinese colourful civilization and auspiciousness. Fully lined, not sheer.
